Reiki History
"Reiki" is a Japanese word that translates into 'Rei' = Universal Life Force and 'Ki' = Energy. Together they mean 'Universal Life Force Energy'. If this energy becomes unbalanced, low or stuck, it is believed that we are more likely to become stressed and unwell. Reiki is an alternative approach that allows energy flow to calm your mind, heal and restore your body for optimum health and well-being.
Everyone will respond differently to Reiki depending on their individual circumstances. Some people say they feel heat or gentle tingling during their Reiki session, while others do not. For some, the experience brings up an emotional response. The most common response however is a feeling of calm, relaxation and well-being. After the treatment, you may feel very relaxed, tired or you may feel energised. There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki.
Always drink plenty of fluids after your treatment to clear any toxins that have been released.

There are seven main chakras, each associated with a specific location along the spine and a unique set of qualities.
Balancing and harmonizing these chakras is believed to promote overall well-being, emotional health, and spiritual growth. Practices such as meditation, energy work, yoga, and mindfulness can help align and activate these energy centres, allowing for a greater sense of balance and vitality.
